Mission Statement
“Our main goal in Team Over Dr!ve is to promote fairness, equality, and gracious professionalism.” - Captains
What we do
Every year, First Tech Challenge, hosts a new game with specific rules and a game field that we need to design, program, and build a new robot for.
People who are a part of our outreach team work on getting sponsors and managing finances for our team, as well as organizing community event
Outreach
CAD
Our CAD team comes up with solutions to design a robot in Fusion 360 that will work efficiently to complete the tasks in a small amount of time
Build
Our build team works with the CAD model and assembles GoBilda and REV parts together in order to create the robot, occasionally working with machinery
Programming
Our programming team collaborate with our build team to code and test autonomous portions as well as create controls for our robot
Our Team.
On our team this year, we have 1 freshman, 2 sophomores, 3 juniors, and 4 seniors. As we grow as a team, we aim to have a more diverse grade
Abhiram - Captain
I am a senior entering my fourth year of robotics. My passion for robotics began in the sixth grade after being exposed to Lego EV3! As a contributor of team Over Dr!ve, I will overlook the coding team while also merging build and code together seamlessly. Some of my other hobbies include coding, tinkering with gadgets, and playing soccer. Additionally, as current captain and co-founder, I hope to nurture a positive work environment and have a successful final year with OverDrive.
Atharva - Vice Captain
Hello! My name is Atharva; I am in 12th grade and entering my third year of robotics. I enjoy playing Minecraft with my friends and playing with legos in my free time. This season, I want to inspire the new teammates that we have and allow my interest in programming to benefit the team!
Nithik - Vice Captain
I am a senior entering my third year of high school robotics, and I work with code at Team Over Dr!ve. On top of robotics, I enjoy watching anime and biking with my friends. I have always been interested in coding and I work on my skills by doing fun side projects! I was confused about how to develop my skills but found a perfect place in Over Dr!ve where I hope to continue programming robots!
Anish
I am a senior entering my fourth year of high school robotics and as a member of the build team. I’ve been participating in VEX Robotics Competitions from 6th grade to 8th grade. In 9th grade, I decided to start participating in FIRST competitions to experience a new perspective in engineering. This is my second year in Over Dr!ve and I hope to excel in my engineering skills through challenges and new experiences. I have a passion for building and have always loved to collaborate with others in my previous years. With Over Dr!ve I hope to learn new skills and grow as an engineer.
Aditya
I am a junior and this is my third year of high school robotics, but my first year of FTC. I was originally part of an FRC team, but I decided to try something different this year, and join Over Dr!ve robotics. Besides robotics, I am a hardcore Destiny fan, and I love playing tennis with my friends. I love stem subjects like biology and physics, and I hope to pursue a career in that field and use my robotics experience to help me in that endeavor.
Lekha
I am a junior entering my second year of robotics. I work with outreach, business, and build within Team OverDr!ve. Some of my hobbies and interests include drawing, running cross country, and reading. As I began to understand that robotics was not only about putting parts together and coding but also about team-building and working as a group to achieve success, my interest grew. I am proud to be part of the 2021-22 Over Dr!ve Robotics Team and I am hopeful for this year.
Kriti
I am a sophomore, and this is my first year in high school robotics. I have had a passion for robotics since elementary school. Besides Robotics, I love hanging out with my friends and family. I love to code and pursue my interests like sports and debate. I hope to learn from my experience in FTC, and from being a part of the Over Dr!ve Team!
Adit
I am currently a Freshman and just starting high school robotics. I enjoy making creations through robotics and am looking forward to learning many new things while in FTC. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and playing soccer, as well as pursuing my interests in chess and guitar.
Aditri
I am a sophomore and this is my first year in high school robotics. I’ve always enjoyed robotics ever since I was introduced to it in middle school. Other activities I like to do are singing, hanging out with friends, and trying different types of food. I like trying different things and hope to put a few of my skills to use here in the team!
Amritha
I am a junior entering my first year of robotics. I work with build in Team OverDr!ve. I’ve always been intrigued by robots and have had a passion to build and create new things because it helps express my creativity. Things I enjoy are building and designing , working out, wrestling, softball, trying new things, traveling, and music. I hope to gain experience and learn new skills that I could use later in my future to expand my creativity and think outside the box.
